Again this year the DST took part in Girls’Day with 2 interested students. Due to the complex tasks within the institute, the girls were given a brief insight into the various areas:
- In the carpenter’s workshop and the mechanical workshop a small insight into model making could be given.
- In the mechanical workshop, the girls learned how the models necessary for the experimental investigations are equipped.
- The girls got to know the different measuring techniques and evaluation methods on the towing vehicle by means of experiments.
- The highlight – as last year – was undoubtedly the steering of inland vessels on the ship management simulator.
Who wouldn’t even like to be captain here?
